Open Source Elastic Cloud Alternatives
Elastic Cloud is the official managed Elasticsearch service, offering hosted and serverless deployments on AWS, Azure, and GCP with full cluster control.
Elastic Cloud is the official managed service for Elasticsearch, Kibana, and the rest of the Elastic Stack, run by the company that builds them. It gives teams the search, observability, and security capabilities of self-managed Elasticsearch without the burden of provisioning clusters, applying patches, or planning capacity themselves.
The service is available as Elastic Cloud Hosted, which gives customers direct control over cluster sizing and topology with one-click deployments, deployment cloning, and custom upgrade scheduling, or as Elastic Cloud Serverless, which autoscales automatically based on indexing and search load and bills purely on usage. Both options span more than 50 regions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and include enterprise controls like data tiers with searchable snapshots for cost-efficient long-term retention, bring-your-own-key encryption, PrivateLink connectivity, and fine-grained role-based access control down to the index, document, and field level.
Elastic Cloud carries certifications including FedRAMP High, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS, making it a common choice for regulated industries and government deployments in addition to general search, logging, and security use cases. Pricing is resource-based for Hosted and usage-based for Serverless, both available pay-as-you-go or as prepaid commitments.
